6th November - Curiosity

Today I am curious about everything I see.

Today I look at each thing I encounter as though I have never seen it before.  I see the smallest detail in the petals of a tiny flower, in the swirls of food on a dirty dish, in the rippling sheets on my unmade bed.  I allow my curiosity its freedom.

When I was younger, my parents and teachers and even other children belittled me for asking questions.   "Everybody knows that", said the kids.  "You ask too many questions", said the adults.  So I stopped asking questions of others and then I stopped asking myself.

Today I ask, "Why?" And I listen for the answers.
